Year 2 -25 December 2025 -La Flora -Koh Lak-Christmas Day -Thailand
Happy Christmas
I woke early and Francesca and Isabel had talked about a run on the beach early about 7.30am or going to the gym. Francesca always does this on Christmas Day.
I got up about 7.15am leaving Jules to lie in and did a workout in the gym and the girls never showed up. I did feel better for it.
We met for breakfast on the beach at 9.00am and had a long leisurely breakfast watching the sea sparkle and enjoying the warmth of the sun. This is an unusual thing to do on Christmas Day.
After breakfast we decided chill and swim or whatever and then we agreed to meet outside our room and beside the pool for present giving. This was a lovely setting and we put on Christmas Music and gave each other small presents which was fun and rewarding. It was so nice to be together laughing and giving and we were sorry Alex could not be there.
We then had to change for lunch and caught a taxi to the Kohlak Paradise resort up the coast and the Leela Restaurant which they had. Francesca had found it and it was a lovely setting on the beach with a fanning breeze. The taxi had a blue tooth connection so we played our own Christmas music through the speakers as we went to the restaurant.
We selected a load of different Thai dishes which were delicious and we had a very different Christmas lunch than normal. It was very special and what a way to celebrate Christmas.
We returned to the hotel and relaxed and then made various calls to relatives etc to wish them Happy Christmas.
The girls went out to buy some snacks and returned to the room and we had a sort of picnic/chat until bed time. It had been a very good and relaxing day.

Need/Opportunity Year Three
In year three I will be going from Thailand to Sri Lanka, India, Maldives and then on to Mauritius, Reunion, Cape Town, St Helena, Azores and back to the UK.
